Our main priority is ensuring your complete satisfaction. There are a few instances where you may need to return a product you have purchased:
- It came broken, damaged or defective: make every effort to package your purchase with the utmost care when shipping to you. Unfortunately, sometimes during shipment, damages can occur. In the case of shipping damages, please contact our customer service department within 24 hours of the receipt of your order.
- We’ve made a mistake. In the event that we have made an error in fulfilling your order, return shipping will be covered. Contact us and will we process the correct order to be sent to you as soon as possible. At that time, we will include a return shipping label for you to send the errant merchandise back to us.
Change your mind?
Return or exchange can be accepted for unopened products only.
- Returns or exchanges can be accepted for most unopened products within 30 days of purchase.
- Please note, electronic appliances must be returned or exchanged within 10 days of receiving them.
When you return products please keep in mind the following:
- Products should be in the original, unused, and unopened condition.
- Packaging should have no damage and be in re-sellable condition.
- It is returned within 30 days of purchase, and within 10 days of receiving all electrical appliances, unless it is a final sale item.
- You must return all products and accessories at your own expense.
- No shipping charges will be refunded. For an order with discounted or free shipping, the actual shipping cost of $14.95 for Canada Post Expedited Shipping will be deducted from the full order amount.
- If you are exchanging an item for a different size/product, a re-shipping fee will apply to cover the cost of sending the exchange back to you, unless an error was made by us
Starting a Return or Exchange
- Please email us to receive a Return Authorization (RA) number. Please note, returns will not be accepted without prior authorization.
- Please pack the items you wish to return securely in another box, and return the shipment securely using a trackable shipping method, having prepaid the shipping cost to send it back.
- The items will be inspected upon receipt at our warehouse.
- Should the returned items not be returned in good condition as described above, the items will be returned back to you at your expense and no refund or exchange will be issued.
- Please allow 10-14 business days for your return to be processed once it has been received and inspected.
- You will be notified via email from our Customer Service Team once your return has been processed. Credit will be issued to the original payment method used.
Final Sale Products
For hygienic reasons, we are unable to accept returns for the following products:
- Hair : Brushes, Combs, Blades, Guide Combs, Razors, Shears, Scissors, Tweezers, and Hair Color Accessories
- Nails : Nail Polish, Nippers, Clippers and all other implements
- Skin : Make-up brushes and Hair Removal Accessories
Testing Of Manufacturer Defects
- All electrical tools/appliances returned to us within 10 days of receipt because of manufacturer's defect will be thoroughly tested by our technical support team. In the event that a product appears to be functioning properly and shows no signs of any technical defects, BEAUTY CULT will contact customers by phone or email for more information on the issues experienced. If no defect can be found and the unit is working properly, it will be re-shipped to you at your additional expense. Furthermore, if the product has been altered, disassembled or repaired in any way, or if the product has been subject to misuse, abuse, negligence or accident, it will be also be re-shipped back to you at your expense.
- We strongly recommend that customers read the product’s instruction manual before returning it to us. Our customer service team is pleased to assist you should you have any additional questions about the product you purchased.
Education & Classes
- All online courses are nonrefundable. All other courses with 2 weeks or more notice, full refund minus $100 non-refundable registration fee.
- If student does not attend class or notifies within 24 hrs prior to class without a valid reason (i.e., illness, death in immediate family) 50% of course fee will be forfeited, and student will have to pay the deposit again to re-register. Students require to provide a doctors note to excuse absence in case of illness.
- If student cancels a class 2 weeks prior to start date and would like to keep the deposit paid as a class credit to be used towards other course, please be aware you will have ONE calendar year from the date the request was processed to book another course. Failure to use up the credit or book the class placed on hold within that year will result in lost seat/credit.
- Upon booking for any course, 50% of the class fee is required; remaining balance is due on the first day of class. Fees / deposits are non-refundable. GST added.
- All class and workshop dates are subject to change. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class. No fees will be incurred if a class that has been changed be the school conflicts with student’s existing schedule. We will accommodate the students to reschedule classes.
- Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared for class. Things to bring paper, pen, notebook, pencil, highlighter.
- Students welcome to bring lunch/snacks. We ask that all students wipe up, tidy chairs, tables, counters, put garbage away. No food/drinks permitted in the practical room.
- Students/models are not permitted to bring children to class with them.
- If we notice or find out that anyone is under the influence of any narcotics while on the premise you will be asked to leave the property immediately. No refund will be returned to you. Safety is our number one priority for all of students, models, and staff.
- Disciplinary action: students (and models) are expected to always act professionally. Written warnings will be entered into students file, which may be divulged to potential employers. Warnings will not be removed from students record once added: Lateness, gossip, missing classes, not adhering to standards. Not following BC Institute polices, strong language/swearing etc.
- Students may be expelled from BC Institute for reasons such as: cheating, bullying, theft, divulging confidential information, plagiarism, vandalism, being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, disrespecting staff/clients/students, any/all harassment. And no refunds will be granted.
- Dress Code: All black, semi-professional or scrubs, clean nonslip shoes. No jeans, no leggings, no sweatpants - Black bottoms, black t-shirt no logos would suffice.
