Course Highlights
This Waxing Technician Course includes theory and practical knowledge, with in depth learnings of:
- Review infection control, microbiology, professionalism
- Hair stages, cycles and types
- Skin conditions, disorders, and diseases.
- Waxing techniques hard and soft wax product, face, body waxing including eyebrow shaping/tinting.
- Product knowledge and appropriate product application.
- Client consultation, business training, and client experience.
As a certified waxing technician, you'll master the art of flawless hair removal, becoming a sought-after expert in the booming beauty industry. But it's not just about waxing — it's about empowering clients to feel confident and beautiful.
You'll become a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the waxing process with ease and expertise.
You must be at least 18 years of age, have a good understand and knowledge of the English language, and poses basic education of the human body.
If you have no human body education, you'll need to take the following prerequisites:
Enjoy small class sizes and ongoing support help you gain confidence through each module and finish ready to take on clients.
Classes will be conducted through a combination of online and in-person learning. Homework will be required for this class, and practise quota to be completed before in-person portion
A student kit containing an online training course and waxing essentials will be provided and is included in the course fee.
A list of items recommended for students to have to facilitate their practical waxing training will be provided at time of registration.
Students will have 4 weeks to complete online portion before in-person training. Practical quotas as part of their training and write final written exam, with a minimum pass of 85%.
Final exam date is scheduled for both written and practical, and student must provide a model. We recommend arranging your model prior to starting the course, but can provide models for you at an additional cost of $25/model.
Theory exam, submission quotas, and practical assessment must be completed prior to final practical exam.
When recording the practical portions, have a phone, laptop, or computer webcam to film the entire service. Detailed instructions will be provided upon enrollment.
